STORE POLICIES:	Our Livestock policy exists for the health and care of our animals. Pet Asylum hand-selects and/or breed all of our animals. Our animals are all subjected to a quarantine period to ensure that you receive the quality livestock that you've come to expect from Pet Asylum. It is for this reason we do not accept returns on livestock. Most oftenly, these animals have been exposed to elements not found in our stores. Making it impossible to re-house them with their tankmates. We hope that you understand that this policy protects the animals in our stores. We firmly believe that you should research your new pet. We are here to answer any questions you may have but be responsible and research you new pets needs to make sure he or she is a good choice for your household.
Store Policies are in place for the protection of our animals, the preservation of store inventory and for fairness to other customers. Listed to the right, in descending order, you will find our livestock policy, our special order policy and finally our return policy.	Both Pet Asylum locations stock over 10,000 items. However, we understand that certain pets have certain needs and that we may not carry all the items you may need. For this reason, our special order department can order most items we do not have in the stores. Please contact Gary concerning you special needs. Custom Tanks, Medications, Parts, etc. Special Orders can take from 2-4 weeks to arrive. Although most arrive in one week. All special orders must be paid in full before being ordered, and are non-returnable.
State of New Jersey Fish, Game and Wildlife Permits: Please note that the State of New Jersey requires that temporary permits be issued on all exotic species upon leaving the store. Exotic species include: *Most species of Reptiles and Amphibians *All Exotic Small Animals *All Species of Parrots and Exotic Finches We will provide you with the temporary permit and the application which you will be required to file with the state to legally possess a regulated species.	All returns are Store Credit only. A receipt must be present at time of return. Merchandise must be returned in 14 days in original packaging and due to promotions are subject to a 20% discount. Livestock sales are Final.
